HUD Opens New Storefront Office
At HUD, we believe government should work for you, not against you. Services should be easy to obtain and understand.
That’s why we are opening a new type of HUD office, staffed with Community
Builders, professionals who can help you buy a home, find housing, build
a community center, or even open a business. HUD is in process of opening
storefront offices in a dozen cities. The first storefront opened in Washington,
D.C. in May 1998. Since then, storefronts have opened in: Baltimore, Maryland;
Buffalo, New York; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Sacramento, California; Reno,
Nevada; Syracuse, New York; Atlanta Georgia; and Helena, Montana.
We offer the latest in technology - such as kiosks and computer workstations
available to the public - so that you can find out exactly what HUD is
doing in your neighborhood.
