Brief Description
HUD/FHA implemented an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) System that allowed the FHA and its trading partners to exchange standardized business data between computer applications, eliminating the need to manually process data via paper exchanges. With EDI, loan default processing time has gone from 15 to 2 days. Single family claim processing has gone from 21 days to 2 days.
