As the nation pauses today to observe Patriot Day 2003, all HUD employees are invited to join the Secretary and Deputy Secretary for a brief ceremony this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. (EDT) in the HUD Cafeteria south, or by watching the broadcast on HUD television or the simulcast on HUD's website.

Patriot Day is a day to honor those who lost their lives in the 2001 terrorist attacks�salute our heroes and say "thank you"�and recommit ourselves and the nation to the pursuit of stability in the world and security at home.

Please take a few moments to join with others and commemorate an event that has profoundly changed the world in which we live.
