Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Tuesday, September 16, 2003

September 15th kicked-off a month-long celebration of the role Hispanic families play in the fabric of our nation. As the highest ranking Hispanic official in the Bush Administration, our own Secretary Martinez reflects on the meaning of Hispanic Heritage Month during an interview on the HUD News Network.

This 15-minute HNN interview focuses on the Department's efforts to increase homeownership, end discrimination and reform the mortgage settlement process, not just for Hispanic families, but for all Americans.

Be sure to log onto HUD@work today and watch.

Also, all Headquarters employees are invited to join Secretary Martinez at a special celebration for Hispanic Heritage Month sponsored by the L'Enfant Chapter of IMAGE. The event will feature a performance by the musical group Soy y Canto. The event will take place today in the south side of the HUD Cafeteria at 12 Noon. See you there!
