Focus Message: City of Forest Park, Clayton County, Georgia CDBG Expenditures for Starr Park/Low-Mod Income Neighborhoods

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held by the City of Forest Park, Georgia, on Monday, July 23, 2007, for Starr Park. The City of Forest Park utilized $156,131.81 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from Clayton County to implement improvements to Starr Park. Starr Park is the largest park in Forest Park and provides recreational facilities for the surrounding low/moderate income neighborhoods. The Park also contains a Senior Center which was also assisted with CDBG funds. Atlanta Regional Director spoke at the event. Mary Presley, Deputy Director of the Georgia Community Planning and Development Division also attended.
