The San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing welcomes you to the San Francisco Affordable Housing Information System. This system provides information to low-income renters about privately owned, government assisted housing opportunities in San Francisco.
Are You Eligible?
In order to qualify for government assisted housing, you must meet pre-defined income and household size requirements. To determine your eligibility, use the eligibility helper.
Quick List
The quick list provides up-to-date information on housing opportunties in San Francisco. Quick list items change on a weekly basis. Check back frequently for new information.
Search for Housing
The Housing Information System contains a database of 200 privately owned, publicly subsidized residential buildings in San Francisco. The database can be seached by criteria such as rent levels, neighborhoods, and handicapped accessibility.
  Housing Guide
The Guide to Affordable Housing is meant to help you with the task of finding an affordable home in one of the world's most expensive cities. While not all-inclusive, the Guide describes what's available, what to look for, and where to go for help.
