As the State of Alabama Field Office Director, Hoban-Moore will serve as HUD's liaison to mayors, city managers, county commissioners, elected representatives, state and local officials, congressional delegations, nonprofit groups, private entities, faith based groups, other stakeholders and individual Americans. She will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of HUD programs and services to communities and individuals, as well as, evaluating their efficiency and effectiveness.

"Pat's return to the Southeast Region and her selection to serve as the Alabama Field Office Director will clearly benefit the communities of Alabama," said Jennings. "Her experience in demanding leadership positions at the field, region and HUD headquarters levels and her love of public service will help strengthen the efforts of the state and HUD partners to better assist the communities we mutually serve."

"I am grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to serve the communities and people of Alabama," said Hoban-Moore. "Returning to work at the community level 'where the rubber meets the road' and where I began my public service means a great deal to me. I truly look forward to working with our HUD partners to assist the communities, families and individuals of Alabama."

Hoban-Moore previously served as HUD's Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in the Office of Administration. She was responsible for facilities management, administrative field support, executive scheduling and correspondence, disaster management, national security, and enterprise digital services across the Department.

Prior to that then HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan asked Hoban-Moore to join his team in Washington, D.C. as the Assistant Deputy Secretary for the Office of Field Policy and Management. In this role, she ensured effective, coordinated program delivery by 6,000 staff in HUD's 10 Regional and 70 Field Offices.

Her work led to two national performance awards: the 2013 F. Edwards Deming Award and the International Society for Performance Improvement 2013 Award of Excellence. Prior to Hoban-Moore's selection as the Assistant Deputy Secretary for the Office of Field Policy and Management she served as the Southeast Deputy Regional Administrator.

A native of Detroit, Hoban-Moore continues a family tradition of commitment to public service. She attended undergraduate and graduate school at Wayne State University and holds her Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Georgia. Hoban-Moore has taught as an adjunct professor of Government and Public Administration in numerous colleges and universities in the Southeastern United States.
