Colorado Management Company
Recognized by Denver Multifamily Hub

At the 2008 annual meeting of Rocky Affordable Housing Management Association (AHMA), the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recognized Donna (Reynolds) Smith and her brother, Dale Reynolds, for their family's continuing dedication to elderly affordable housing at Reyn Rock Apartments in Castle Rock, Colorado with the Manager of the Year Award. For the past 28 years the Reynolds have made housing the elderly a "family affair." That commitment now spans three generations.

Reyn Rock Apartments is a 5 story, 33 unit elderly housing facility in downtown Castle Rock that was built by Donna and Dale's parents in 1981 and their hands on management style involved the whole family. In 2005 when it was time to hand over the reins, both Donna Smith and her brother Dale were ready and eager to take over from mom and dad. Under their stewardship they renegotiated the HUD contract and used a capital improvement loan to undertake substantial rehabilitation of the property. System upgrades significantly improved the energy efficiency of the building while improving resident comfort. It is no wonder that Reyn Rock Apartments enjoys the reputation for having one of the lowest tenant turn-over rate for HUD assisted properties in Rocky Mountain region.
