The Deputy Secretary discussed how HUD would be collaborating with these, as well as other federal agencies to increase the development of sustainable communities. Deputy Secretary Sims also announced 22 grants totaling $618,000 to 16 HUD-approved Colorado housing counseling organizations. Over 500 people attended the conference, including a number of the Denver HUD office staff who presented information on HERA, ARRA, and FHA program funding.
