The Kaupuni Village Subdivision is located on 3.35 acres of land donated to the Hawaiian Home Lands Trust by the Consuelo Alger Foundation. Kaupuni has recently completed the construction of 19 single-family net zero energy homes for purchase by the Native Hawaiian families who are beneficiaries of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL). DHHL is currently waiting for funding to become available to proceed with home closings. The Community Center, which is expected to be the piko (a Hawaiian word for center) of the subdivision, is still under construction and should be completed in the near future.
