Through the work of Habitat for Humanity, HOME, Inc., Polk County Housing Trust Fund, and Anawim Housing various urban core neighborhoods are being restored and strengthened.

The tour also made stops at Royal View Manor, a Public Housing Complex, and Oakridge Neighborhood, a HUD Multi-Family Section 8 property consisting of 300 units.

This complex was recently renovated through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program.
