Recently during the HUD Kentucky Office Employee Appreciation Day Jenna Sappenfield was recognized and honored as the HUD Kentucky Employee of the Year.

Sappenfield serves as the Support Services Specialist and provides support to the entire office on a wide array of administrative, budgeting, and safety matters.

"It's so touching to be honored with this award when you work in such a great office with so many talented people," said Jenna Sappenfield about her award. "I feel really humbled, but very appreciated. I wish I could share this with everyone."

"Jenna is the "go to" person for so many things that our staff needs. It is hard to believe that she is able to keep up with everything and do it with a smile," said HUD Kentucky Field Office Director Christopher Taylor. "She has an unwavering commitment to both our office and our staff and that is what makes Jenna stand out."

Ms. Sappenfield will have 20 years of government service in February 2017. She has served in the Administration Division for the last 9 years of her career and served in HUD's Public and Indian Housing Division for 8 years before that. She served at another government agency before coming to HUD.

Each year one employee is selected to be chosen and recognized as the Employee of the Year in the HUD Kentucky Field Office for their unparalleled professionalism, commitment and dedication to the mission of HUD.
