Andy Blake, Housing Program Specialist, Jackson, MS HUD Field Office, conducted two continuing education seminars for Realtors and Appraisers in Corinth, MS, on Wednesday, November 16, 2005. The free seminars were sponsored by the Four County Board of Realtors and held at the Corinth Library.

The morning seminar was entitled "Changes & Updates For FHA Single Family Appraisals" and each attendee was granted a certificate for 4 hours of continuing education hours. The afternoon session was entitled "FHA's Energy Efficient Mortgage Program" and each attendee was granted 2 hours of continuing education.

A total of 43 Realtors and Appraisers attended the 6 hours of courses presented. Due to the proximity of Corinth, MS to both the Tennessee and Alabama state lines, many of the attendees are licensed in these States as well. Therefore, the continuing education hours earned will count toward the educational license requirements for all three States. Many of the attendees expressed their appreciation for the courses and material presented, as this was the first time a HUD representative had addressed their organization in over 10 years.
