Together, HUD and various other federal agencies as a part of the Federal Employees Association (FEA) initiative made donations to the U.S. Marine Toys for Tots Foundation (Jackson, MS) to assist families who were not able to provide gifts to their children for Christmas. HUD volunteered its conference room to collect all the toys from the various federal agencies for final distribution i.e. Santa's workshop.

"No child should have to wake up on Christmas morning without a gift," stated Jackson Mississippi Toys for Tots Coordinator, SSgt Kelvin Crockett. The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program (http://jackson-ms.toysfortots.org/local-coordinator-sites/lco-sites/about-local-toys-for-tots.asp) is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The Mississippi HUD Field Office was proud to be involved in this worthy cause.
