HUD REGION II RA LYNNE PATTON DELIVERS KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT NJAHRA

NJAHRA luncheon brought together Public Housing Authority directors and staff.

HUD Region II Regional Administrator Lynne Patton delivered a keynote address at the New Jersey Association of Housing and Redevelopment Authorities (NJAHRA) conference, a yearly gathering held in Atlantic City. Joined by HUD New Jersey Field Office Director Maria Maio-Messano and newly appointed HUD New Jersey Director of Public Housing Theresa Arce, Administrator Patton met key housing officials instrumental to affordable housing in the Garden State.

During her address, Administrator Patton discussed RAD, the Section 3 Program, the Smoke Free rule, tenant financial independence through the Family Self-Sufficiency Program, and public private partnerships. Budget increases in the FY-18 proposed budget for lead remediation were well received. Patton also highlighted her priorities during her nascent tenure that include maximizing State resources and holding multifamily landlords accountable for hazardous deferred maintenance.
