ARRA Success Story - Clovis City Housing Authority
The Clovis City Housing Authority (CCHA) used its $308,553.00 awarded American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds to install new kitchen cabinets and new, energy efficient windows. In addition, CCHA's ARRA funds were used to modify a unit for a resident with mobility impairments. Twenty-four (24) of CCHA's public housing units got new kitchen cabinets and 75 units got their windows replaced. CCHA anticipates that the new energy efficient windows will realize an annual savings of approximately 25% in heating and cooling costs. HUD's ARRA funds enhanced CCHA's public housing units inside (new kitchen cabinets) and outside (new energy efficient windows), and extended equal access and enjoyment of home for an individual with disabilities.
