A HUD team that included 15 members from the Albany Field Office recently spent a full day assisting with the construction of new single family row houses at the Sheridan Hollow project in the City of Albany. The project is sponsored by Capital District Habitat for Humanity, the local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit housing organization that manages volunteer labor, grants and donations to build affordable housing units. The Albany volunteers spent the day in phase one of the redevelopment project, cutting lumber, constructing and positioning interior and exterior walls and completing a variety of other tasks.
