A team from the HUD - Albany Field Office that included 10 staff members from the Financial Operations Center (FOC) recently spent a full day assisting with the construction of new single family row houses at the Sheridan Hollow project in the City of Albany, N.Y. The project is sponsored by Capital District Habitat for Humanity, the local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit housing organization that manages volunteer labor, grants and donations to build affordable housing units. The Albany FOC volunteers spent the day in phase three of the redevelopment project - installing vinyl siding, painting, drywall installation, cleanup of completed housing units and a variety of other tasks.
