In collaboration with the Homeownership Center of Greater Cincinnati, The Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) recently celebrated the third new homeowner resulting from the program. The City of Cincinnati, Fifth Third Bank, and The Cincinnati Foundation played a key role in making Ms. Lovette's dream a reality.

Changing renters into owners is part of the Bush Administration's major effort to ad 5.5 million new homeowners, with an emphasis on the African American and Hispanic American communities.

The CMHA and the Hamilton County Public Housing Agency (HCPHA) have partnered and made Homeownership Vouchers available to at least 50 families from their combined programs. CMHA and HCPHA selected the Home Ownership Center of Greater Cincinnati, to provide the required homebuyer training and counseling.
