Affordable Connectivity Program reaches Knoxville Tennessee's Five Points Community

The Knoxville Field Office reached out to the Five Points Public Housing Community to inform over 100 residents on how to sign up for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The August 2nd Back-to-School event was conducted in partnership with Knoxville's Community Development Corporation with cellular providers on-site to sign-up residents. Collaboration between HUD's Tennessee-based Public and Indian Housing and Field Policy and Management staffs enabled this outreach to be successful for the parents and children who attended. With children soon returning to school, parents were interested in discounts available for a laptop, desktop computer or tablet through the ACP.
