The Housing and Communities Show

HUD's Vermont Field Office Director Mike McNamara hosts Housing and Communities show on elderly issues.

The Burlington Field Office, in association with CCTV, has been producing the Housing and Communities Show as a regular segment on Channel 17's Live at 5:25 program. Live at 5:25 is a live, call-in show that airs on weekdays as a lead-in to the 6 PM news. The Housing and Communities Show airs on the first Wednesday of each month.

The show covers the gamut of housing and Community Development issues in Chittenden County. In the coming months the show will feature issues such as homeownership, affordable housing development in and around Burlington, homeless issues, community and economic development, and much more.

First Show

The first show in this series was taped in March 2000, with special guests Peter Clavelle, Burlington's Mayor and Paul Dettman, Executive Director of the Burlington Housing Authority. The discussion was on the housing crunch in Chittenden County.
