The Wisconsin Federal Employee Diversity Committee (FEDC) celebrated Public Service Recognition Week by collaborating with the City of Milwaukee to sponsor the second annual Government Agency Resource Fair held in Milwaukee on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at the Courtyard by Marriott, 300 West Michigan Avenue, in downtown Milwaukee. Housing and Urban Development Director Del Reynolds represented the federal government and hosted the event.

The day's event began with the presentation of colors by a United States Marine Corps Reserve Unit and the singing of the National Anthem by Hope DeVougas, Milwaukee Regional Coordinator for United States Senator Russell D. Feingold (WI-D).

More than 30 federal, state, county and municipal government agencies set up displays and provided information and service to the public and to other government representatives. A major objective of this event was to put a face to the men and women who each day serve as custodians of the public trust.
