Tucson/Pima County, Arizona

The Tucson/Pima County, Arizona, Continuum of Care covers the City of Tucson and the entire County of Pima. The Tucson Planning Council for the Homeless (TPCH), which is responsible for the Continuum of Care, is a coalition of organizations and individuals committed to reducing homelessness and addressing the issues related to homelessness in the community. TPCH consists of representatives of homeless provider agencies, local governments, merchants, donors and neighborhood representatives. Key elements of the Continuum of Care are: (1) maximize the choices of homeless persons to improve their lives, (2) decrease the dependence of homeless persons on limited government subsidies, (3) assist homeless persons to obtain and maintain assets that contribute to their quality of life, and (4) provide opportunities for homeless persons to contribute to the community as neighbors, workers and citizens.
