The Broward County, Florida, Continuum of Care covers the entire county including the following communities: Ft. Lauderdale, Hollywood, Lauderhill, Plantation, Pompano Beach, Sunrise, Coral Springs, Davie, and Pembroke Pines. More than 100 members of the Broward Coalition for the Homeless participated in the development of the Continuum of Care. Key elements of the Continuum of Care are: (1) build safe, clean, full-service homeless assistance centers for individuals and families in the county; (2) institute homeless assistance program funding through community resource development; and (3) strengthen relationships among service providers.
