The Kansas City, Missouri Continuum of Care covers the City of Kansas, Missouri. Over 28 homeless agencies and organizations were actively involved the in 1997 Continuum of Care planning process. The Continuum of Care system consists of numerous representatives from non-profit homelessness assistance providers, business organizations, government agencies, and neighborhood organizations. Key elements of the Continuum of Care are: (1) increased commitment to homelessness prevention; (2) education of the community on homelessness; (3) strengthening collaboration between homeless service providers; and (4) improving the current continuum of care system.
