Baltimore, Maryland

The Baltimore, Maryland, Continuum of Care covers the City of Baltimore. Over 30 homeless people, non-profit homeless provider agencies, business representatives, and government officials were involved in the development of the Continuum of Care. The Homeless Relief Advisory Board is the lead for coordination of homeless activities in Baltimore, and the Office of Homeless Services coordinates housing and supportive services for homeless individuals and families. Key elements of the Continuum of Care are: (1) an on-line central intake assessment system; (2) plans for additional units of supportive housing for individuals and families; and (3) expansion of services targeted to the special needs population.
