Albany, New York

The Continuum of Care covers the City of Albany, New York. Over 50 homelessness assistance providers, public agencies, businesses and other organizations were involved in the development of the Continuum of Care which was guided by the Homelessness Working Group with support from the City's Department of Housing and Community Development. Key elements of the Continuum of Care are: (1) continued need for additional resources for every component of the Continuum, especially permanent supportive housing, transitional housing with services for youth, job training and placement, and case management; (2) strengthening the coordination among the Continuum agencies; and (3) continued support for the Centralized Emergency Shelter Intake Service, the backbone of the City's delivery system.
