The Columbus and Franklin County, Ohio Continuum of Care covers the City of Columbus and Franklin County. Over 50 homeless service providers, businesses, government entities, and veteran service providers were involved in the development of the Continuum of Care which was directed by the Community Shelter Board. Key elements of the Continuum of Care are: (1) increased homelessness prevention, (2) solutions to the housing needs of chronically homeless men, (3) improved stability of children and families experiencing a housing crisis, and (4) increased community awareness about the causes of and solutions to homelessness and ultimately decrease the demand for emergency shelters.
