MILTON PRATT NAMED HUD MID-ATLANTIC REGIONAL DIRECTOR
PHILADELPHIA - The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development today announced that Milton R. Pratt Jr., from Erial, NJ, has been named as Regional Director for the five states and national capital in HUD's Mid-Atlantic Region, based in Philadelphia.
Pratt will serve as HUD's liaison to mayors, city managers, elected representatives, state and local officials, Congressional delegations, stakeholders and customers in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. He will oversee the delivery of HUD programs and services to communities, and evaluate their efficiency and effectiveness. Pratt is one of 10 regional directors in the United States.
Pratt has more than 15 years of experience in real estate development, with increasing responsibility in all phases of multifamily development, management and asset management. Since 2000, he has served as Vice President of Apollo Housing Capital. Pratt successfully developed a $57 million real estate transaction with responsibility for budget, design, financing, construction and leasing. He has demonstrated experience collaborating with elected officials, trade unions, community groups and other public institutions.
Pratt serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Home Builders- Philadelphia Chapter. He is also a member of the National Forum of Black Public Administrators- Philadelphia Chapter, and he has a Public Housing Managers' (PHM) designation from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials.
Pratt received a bachelor's degree in public administration and urban planning from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.
