At the time of the Homeownership Zone designation, the area was a blighted, under-developed area.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Sacramento's Homeownership Zone proposal calls for the comprehensive redevelopment of the area into a new homeownership community that will link two previously isolated neighborhoods. The plan calls for new infrastructure, new parks and a town square commercial development. Development will occur in seven phases. The local high school is actively involved. Local students participate in landscaping design.
