Advancing Fair Housing Ideals in Wisconsin Brings Honors to HUD, Local Governments and Private Groups

Thursday, April 18, 2002

In Wisconsin, April 2002 Fair Housing Month brought state and local proclamations, a colorful display of fair housing posters created by young men and women, and honors for what so many have worked hard to accomplish so far. The activities were part of an April 10th Awards Luncheon, sponsored by the Wisconsin Fair Housing Network.

This year, Fair Housing proclamations from the Governor, the Milwaukee County Executive and the Mayor of Milwaukee were presented at the luncheon, and the winners of earlier Fair Housing Poster and Essay Contests, sponsored annually by the Wisconsin Fair Housing Network, were on display.
