Senior Equal Opportunity Specialist, Phoebe Buchanan, is the recipient of the Quarterly Customer Service award. Phoebe has long been recognized as the go-to person for information about the rights of persons with handicaps and Section 504. Many times, Phoebe has assisted individuals, agencies, architects and builders with questions about UFAS design, where to go for accessible housing, how to get accommodations, what is an accommodation and many, many other questions. Ms. Buchanan always has an answer or quickly finds an answer. She additionally ensures that the caller understands the answer or is satisfied with the direction she provides. Ms. Buchanan receives a two-hour time off award and she is now eligible to compete for the Pittsburgh Field Office Annual Customer Service Award-the Charlie-named for the first Director of the Pittsburgh Field Office, Charles J. Lieberth.
