NOTE: Because of the extensive effects of Hurricane Irene and the numerous communities affected by the storm, HUD is extending the deadline for the FHIP NOFA until September 1, 2011. This notice serves as notification to potential applicants of the deadline date change. HUD is posting this extension of the application due date on www.Grants.gov. The new deadline for receipt of applications is Thursday, September 1, 2011. The requirements of the NOFA and timely receipt and grace period policies remain unchanged. Applicants that have already submitted their application do not need to download a new application or resubmit their applications as a result of this notice.
