Schedule
In FY2012, HUD plans to publish its NOFAs as they are approved for publication. As HUD did in FY2011, HUD plans to post funding notices ahead of appropriations so that prospective applicants can start preparing their applications. For a program NOFA that is issued in advance of appropriations, the funding opportunity will be subject to the availability of appropriations. If issued in advance of appropriations, the program NOFA will not provide a total dollar amount for HUD funds available. However, the program NOFA will indicate the approximate size of grant awards to be made, so that potential applicants can prepare their applications in accord with the proposed award amounts.
