Community 2020 Forum
Secretary Andrew Cuomo created HUD's Community 2020 series, which ran from 1997 through 2000. These forums brought together dynamic leaders to explore the future of America's communities and regions: where they were headed, and what they would be like in the next 25 years and beyond. The seminars focussed on tough issues facing neighborhoods and families and how they can become better prepared to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Discussions featured Jobs and the Economy; Race; Fair Housing; Public Safety; Education; Homelessness; Appalachia; and Communities Across the Americas.
