Project Homeless Connect is a special annual event put on by the City of Birmingham to provide all the resources homeless persons need to break the cycle of homelessness.

This year the event took place on April 11th. It began at 7:00 in the morning. The services available to homeless persons included: dental assistance; vision screening and provision of glasses; assistance in getting a state issued identification; health screenings, assistance in resolving minor municipal charges; employment assistance; and information on how to find permanent housing.

HUD Birmingham Field Office Director Michael German, along with team members Hollis Wormsby, Adrian Peterson Fields, Vicky Gill and Tiffany Brown, provided housing specific information to approximately 150 persons.
