The Huntsville Housing Authority celebrated the opening of its One-Stop Shop, a community center with several social service agencies that will be available in assisting public housing residents to become employable and to live independently.

One-Stop Shop is partnering with community agencies to provide valuable needed services to assist individuals, families, elderly, disabled and youth to become self-sufficient; improve access to job opportunities through information sharing; and coordinate with community and state agencies.

The community center is located on Clinton Avenue. These efforts will provide more opportunities to public housing residents living in the Butler Terrace, L. R. Patton, Johnson Towers and Brookside communities by offering access to vital services locally, without having to travel long distances to various different agencies.
