Highland Manor Apartments is a senior housing community in Birmingham that recently welcomed its residents back. After a $14 million renovation, which included $1 million in HUD funding, the 111-unit building now has a top floor community room that seems to be the preferred spot for many of its residents. The improved facilities are discussed by its tenants in this video: Highland Manor Apartment Homes (https://vimeo.com/267625941). Each unit has been fully renovated and include new appliances, new flooring and new bathroom designs. HUD Southeast Deputy Regional Administrator Christopher Taylor attended the rededication ceremony.
