Multifamily's The Horning Family Donates and Delivers Food to Washingtonians

As the nation faces new challenges and uncertainly due to COVID-19, The Horning Family stepped up by making a $100,000 contribution to provide bags of food for every resident in the District of Columbia's Wards 7 and 8. Partnering with local nonprofit Martha's Table, Horning's team personally joined in the effort by delivering bags of groceries to each of their HUD-assisted multifamily rental communities including Riverbend, Fort Stanton, Benning Woods, Stoneridge I and II, Carver Hill and Morris Road.

"There are so many dedicated people on the front lines of this health crisis working to save lives," the Horning Family said in a statement. "We're just trying to do our part to ease the burden a bit and spread some kindness."

Exercising precautionary measures, Horning's leadership joined their community and service managers and maintenance technicians in making the deliveries over a three-day period. "Our residents were so appreciative of the kindness and generosity!" added Community Manager Karissa Spann.

"The Horning Family Fund's continued support of Martha's Table allows us to go deeper into the community, extending urgently needed resources to our neighbors. We are committed to working together to truly show up for DC families during this challenging time in our District.
