Neighborhood House Inc. Celebrated Its
25th Year of Housing Services

On Friday, September 30, 2002, Neighborhood House Inc. celebrated its 25th year of providing Housing Services to persons of low and moderate income. Neighborhood House provides in-depth housing counseling to persons desiring to attain homeownership, and also develops housing projects to fit the needs of prospective moderate and low-income homebuyers.

Held at its Wilmington site at 1218 B Street, the keynote luncheon speaker was Milton R. Pratt, Jr, Regional Director of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. Attendees included local elected officials, state and local government agencies, lenders, housing counseling and faith based organizations.

Neighborhood House is a HUD certified housing counseling agency. 75 people attended panel-workshop presentations on topics including Home-Buying, Home Maintenance and Rehabilitation, and Reverse Mortgage Financing. The conference concluded with a tour of housing projects developed and under-development by Neighborhood House.
