Teamwork to Strengthen Communities

Florida's Community Development Association (FDCA) 43rd Annual Conference was recently held in Tampa. HUD was represented by Alesia Scott-Ford, Field Office Director in North Florida, who highlighted Secretary Carson's initiatives to end homelessness, promote healthy homes and empower low income communities to achieve self-sufficiency.

This year's theme at the conference was "Strengthening Communities Using Creative Housing and Economic Development." FDCA Executive Director Emory Counts emphasized teamwork and training to overcome challenges and share best practices.
