LOCAL RESIDENTS ATTEND RETURN TO HOME
A homeownership event on replacing blue tarps with solid solutions

BOWLING GREEN, FL - Return to Home is a one-stop event for residents of Hardee and Desoto Counties who are
still seeking permanent housing or repairs. Hosted by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), in conjunction with local governments, the event is being held on
the Hardee Campus of the South Florida Community College in Bowling Green at 2968 HWY U.S. 17 N. on Saturday, May 7, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Return to Home participants will receive useful information on Section 8, rental housing, homeownership
opportunities including: FHA insured loans and USDA grants, and self-help housing. They will also have an
opportunity to work directly with lenders, housing counseling agencies (who will assist with credit repair),
non-profit organizations and local power companies.

HUD is the nation's housing agency committed to increasing homeownership, particularly among minorities; creating affordable housing opportunities for low-income Americans; and supporting the homeless, elderly, people with disabilities and people living with AIDS. The Department also promotes economic and community development as
