Thousands Attend June Homeownership Expo

The Atlanta HUD office partnered with the Urban Hope Homeownership Center to host the 2005 Education and Empowerment Expo at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, GA. More than 3,000 homeowners and potential homebuyers had an opportunity to talk to lenders, realtors, and builders. Information on downpayment and mortgage assistance programs was also provided from the many other housing related partners and sponsors including the Bank of America, Jewel of the South, New Birth Church - Bishop Eddie Long, Freddie Mac, Countrywide Home Loans and many others.
