HUD Atlanta Regional Office Celebrates March Madness

The Atlanta Office of the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development celebrated their HUD Spirit in the midst of March Madness!! Atlanta Regional Director Bob Young officially designated March 29, 2007, as HUD Atlanta Regional Office's March Madness Day!!

HUD employees wore their favorite team colors, displayed their school banners, cheered their favorite teams on, and served special treats in their program areas celebrating their HUD Spirit. As part of our celebrations, HUD also had the Varsity Truck, a local historic restaurant that specializes in hot dogs to the Georgia Tech crowds and city of Atlantafolks, serving HUD Employees Hot Dogs. It was a spirited time for all.

A special guest - Mr. KEN HUDSON, an observer and scout for the National Basketball Association visited the Atlanta HUD Office Staff during their celebration. Ken Hudson, was one of the first African American Officials in the NBA. He has written a book, A Tree Stump in the Valley of Red Woods and has held positions at Coca-Cola New England, Executive President of Atlanta International Consulting Group, and Vice President of Community Affairs with the Boston Celtics Limited Partnership Department and a motivational speaker for high school success seminars in Atlanta. He was also on the advisory Board for the Atlanta Inner City Games.
