Reciting one of her great aunt's poems she had learned in school, 3rd graders at the University Community Academy in western Atlanta, were treated to a discussion by HUD Atlanta employee Sherrill Dunbar during Career Day on how HUD brings hope and opportunity to communities, individuals and families in need, as well as, opportunities to serve.

"If a task is once begun, never leave it 'til it's done, be the labor great or small, do it well or not at all", said Sherrill Dunbar as she recited the poem.

Ms. Kendra Venzke 3rd grade class of over a dozen students listened intently and enjoyed the poem, learning more about HUD and how as they commit themselves to their education they too do can be difference makers.

"HUD continues to work to develop strong bonds of understanding with our local communities and the opportunities to participate in career days are one example of that commitment to especially students who are the future of our country," said Joe Phillips, HUD Public Affairs Officer for the regional office located in Atlanta.
