Region IV, Deputy Regional Administrator Karen Jackson Sims, participated with other federal partners on October 13 in the Unity Day Celebration "Around the World in a Day" in Atlanta. HUD Unity Day organizing committee from respective Atlanta Regional Office programs joined the federal community of agencies and over 250 federal employees at the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center to share in an exciting and informative cultural diversity festivity. The event is a continuation of the 2009 Unity Celebration, Life in a Diverse World.

"Unity Day brings together all the goodness of diversity and singularity of purpose that makes our nation and HUD so unique," said Sims. "Our federal partners are indeed our partners whose mission brings us together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve."
