Georgia's Center for Pan Asian Community Services (CPACS), which is a Federally Qualified Health Center, hosted a health fair on Saturday, October 16, 2021 in Atlanta. More than 350 attendees received free flu shots, HIV testing, COVID-19 vaccines, and health screenings from local providers.

HUD supported the activity with outreach efforts led by Shea Johnson, Director of Georgia Operations, and Johnnie Lattimore, Community Liaison. The team identified rent subsidized multifamily properties near the health fair to share the invitation with the residents. In addition, GA Community Planning and Development Director, Adrian Fields, and staff were very instrumental by contacting local Continuums of Care to provide information about the health fair to increase awareness and participation among their homeless population.

The interagency effort collaborated with Dr. Roshunda Ivory of Health and Human Services to also provide vaccination information from the CDC along with additional federal funding resources. Other participants included helpful information from John Shereikis of Georgia Department of Community Affairs, about their rental assistance programs; and support from Glory Gervacio from the White House Initiative on Asian American and Pacific Islanders.
