Iowa and Nebraska field offices team up with FDIC and other industry partners to deliver homeownership event in September

In September, Julie Sleeper, Senior Management Analyst with the Des Moines Field Office and Andrew Burgin-Anton, Management Analyst with the Omaha Field Office, in collaboration with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), hosted a webinar entitled Building Assets Through Homeownership in Iowa and Nebraska to support equitable homeownership opportunities in rural, underserved, and low–and-moderate income communities. The webinar was attended by over 110 real estate and lending professionals and community leaders from across Iowa and Nebraska.

Through three separate sessions, attendees were able to hear from industry experts on topics related to Trends in Homeownership Asset Building, How Housing Counseling & Homebuyer Experience Improve the Homeownership Experience, and Innovative and Affordable Capital to Achieve the Homeownership Dream. The event featured innovative strategies and best practices to build assets through homeownership and outline successful affordable housing development strategies in the states of Iowa and Nebraska.
