HUD is once again participating in the City of Chicago's popular Chicago Affordable Neighborhoods Expos. The programs, designed for homeowners and would be first time homebuyers, began on March 6 and will run through May 1, 2004.

Rebecca Trujillo of HUD's Chicago Fair Housing Division helped staff the HUD information table at the first expo at Falconer School.

Designed as a one-stop information resource, the expos feature various workshops and information booths designed to unravel the complexities of home buying, renting, and housing preservation/renovation. In addition to government housing agencies, the expos include lenders, real-estate professionals and housing counseling agencies, and well as private vendors.

All expos are held on Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. schedule (http://www.ci.chi.il.us/housing/)
