HUD Secretary Traveled to Kansas City

Announced that the City and Housing Authority Partnership Will Receive $30 Million.

HUD Secretary Julián Castro traveled to Kansas City on September 28 to announce that the city and housing authority partnership will receive $30 million. It is a Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grant to redevelop severely distressed public housing and revitalize the Paseo Gateway district.

Ed Lowndes, Executive Director of the Housing Authority of Kansas City and
Sebra Scrogrum, President of Chouteau Courts Residents Association.

Secretary Castro also participated in the ConnectHome Summit at the Sprint Accelerator co-working space in the tech and Crossroads Art District of Kansas City.
